Hello
bio
My work is grounded in a long-standing commitment to supporting children and families. I began my career as a child victim advocate, which shaped my dedication to helping children feel understood, supported, and empowered.
I earned my Master’s in Education (emphasis in counseling) and Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree from San Diego State University, during which I participated in grant-funded work focused on interdisciplinary collaboration to support students with autism, as well as improving services for Native American and Indigenous youth. I have over 10 years of experience working as a school psychologist across a wide range of settings. My experience includes public schools, charter schools, private schools, non-public schools (NPS), Montessori programs, independent study programs (homeschool), Waldorf, residential settings, and private practice.
I have also have experience serving as a school psychologist and special education program manager within a charter school organization, overseeing hundreds of IEPs, supporting their development and compliance, training staff, and helping design systems to support student success. This role requires extensive knowledge of special education law and a systems-level understanding of how to best support students across educational environments.
In my private practice, I provide comprehensive educational evaluations, consultation, and short-term educational therapy. My approach is neuroaffirmative and strengths-based, focused on helping families understand their child’s unique learning profile and identify meaningful supports.
In addition to my professional experience, I bring over a decade of experience as a parent, and integrate this perspective into my work with families.
Why choose me to complete your child’s evaluation?
Many evaluations focus primarily on determining eligibility or assigning a label. My approach is different.
I focus on developing a deep, meaningful understanding of your child’s learning profile—how they think, learn, engage, and experience their environment. I look beyond isolated test scores to understand the full picture, including your child’s strengths, interests, relationships, and the context in which they are learning.
With experience across a wide range of educational settings, I am able to offer practical, nuanced recommendations that are actually implementable—whether at home, in school, or when considering different educational environments. My goal is not just to explain what is happening, but to provide clear, actionable guidance on how to support your child moving forward.
Families often share that they leave the process feeling more clarity, direction, and confidence, with a plan that feels aligned to their child—not just a report.
